The Cure concert Tickets, Adverts, Stories, Details and Trivia. As a basic i've used a list of The Cure concert dates that was originally compiled by Dominique Sureaud, Thierry Michaux and Dimitri Ramage between 1990 & 1992 during their work for the french magazine 'Anomalie'. I've added the setlists to this list using circulating concert recordings. Not all the dates and setlists may be correct but over the years many additions and updates have been included with the help of a lot of Cure fans worldwide. White colored setlists are confirmed (with the help of concert recordings or official reports).

The band's first full album since their post-Pornography breakup, The Top found Robert Smith still striving to shake off the mantel that had once cloaked the Cure in such blackness - "Shake Dog Shake" and "Give Me It," both from the new album, emerge as highlights here, no matter how desperately you want to hear the older songs that complete. Compared to all that the Cure would become, Concert is often regarded as a dour album.
Primary" - A lesser Cure song in my view, because it sounds almost like an ordinary pop song and the Cure are capable of much more than that. Still, this is a fun version with "jet-taking-off" guitar flying all over the place. The Top" was not exactly one of Cure's better albums, and yet even the tracks from that album are transformed on stage. The Cure started off as a British late 1970s rock band and as late as 1984 on stage at least they still preserved that sound. the studio version of that track will forever strike you as flat, shallow, and uninspiring once you here the incredible 7 minute performance Smith et. al. give here.
